Newcastle announce Lewis Miley deal - Eddie Howe “very excited”

Newcastle United have announced that Lewis Miley has signed a new long-term contract at St James’ Park.

The 17-year-old sensation has made 18 appearances in all competitions, featuring regularly across Premier League, Champions League and cup campaigns in his breakthrough season at the club. He’s played with maturity beyond his years and full deserves a new improved contract after performing so impressively at such a young age.

Miley describes this as a “really proud moment” to land a long-term deal at his boyhood club and is determined to keep on improving as a player.

Eddie Howe is “very excited” to see what the future holds for the England U19 international, calling the midfielder an “exceptional young talent” and praising the academy for assisting his development in recent years.

Lewis Miley – “It’s a really proud moment for me and my family to sign another professional contract with my boyhood club. I couldn’t be prouder.
