Newcastle’s England stars
Kieran Trippier is one of Gareth Southgate’s most relied-upon players and despite some struggles with form and injuries this season, he’ll likely be part of the EURO 2024 squad.
England’s squad could also potentially feature other Newcastle stars like Nick Pope and Callum Wilson although they have long-term injury issues to deal with first and foremost.

Trippier could provide a versatile squad option that can be deployed at either fullback. Pope could make the squad as one of the backup shot-stoppers as he is set to return to action over a month before the season ends.
The regular Newcastle and England pair will have a strong chance of winning the EURO’s this summer. However, for Wilson, the injury he suffered against Nottingham Forest in February is likely to ensure he does not represent his country this year.
Newcastle’s South American players
Besides EURO 2024, there is another major international tournament set to take place this year in the Copa America. Newcastle notably have stars from Brazil and Paraguay that could appear in the United States.
Bruno Guimaraes is a regular for the tournament frontrunners Brazil and considering he was called up for the March internationals his inclusion in the summer squad can be assumed.

Joelinton could join him although he is far less of a certainty. He earned his first five caps last summer and played a significant role in the qualifying campaign. However, with the remarkable Brazilian talent pool on offer to Tite, he could unfortunately still miss out.
Miguel Almiron is a Toon player who will certainly be involved for his nation Paraguay, and he and Guimaraes will likely face off as their nations have been drawn together for the group stages.
Newcastle will have considerable representation at the international level in Europe and South America this summer. The likes of Trippier and Guimaraes could even win their respective tournaments while being regulars for their nations.
