As reported by the Chronicle, Rafa Benitez appears to be sending out a message of calm ahead of the January transfer window.
Benitez has said that he does not expect Newcastle to make an early breakthrough this window.
When asked when he could expect players in, Benitez said: “I don’t see anything early because we tried a couple of things.
“Normally all of the teams are trying to do something so the agents wait a little bit and expect the best offer possible.
Benitez was clear that he does expect players in, however, with Newcastle’s Spanish manager adding: “I think we will see someone coming in, but I can’t say it will be on January 1.”
After years of panic buying and poor transfers, Newcastle fans may well be happy to hear that they now not only have a manager who they can trust, but that he also has a clear plan and vision for the club.
