Kieran Trippier starts World Cup clash vs USA and former Mag features – Official team news

The team sheets are in ahead of England’s Group B clash with the USA, which kick off at 7pm on ITV 1 tonight.

Gareth Southgate has handed another start to Newcastle United right-back Kieran Trippier, naming the same side that beat Iran 6-2 on Monday.

Fellow Mags Nick Pope and Callum Wilson are named on the bench, with Harry Kane passed fit to play despite picking up an ankle injury this week.

For the USA, former Toon full-back DeAndre Yedlin is named on the bench, however Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic starts for the Americans.
