Watch Martin Dubravka’s moment of madness as Man Utd loanee almost scores TWO own goals

On-loan goalkeeper Martin Dubravka almost scored a shocking own goal in Manchester United’s 2-0 victory over Burnley in the Carabao Cup last night.

The 33-year-old went up to clear a cross but mistimed his punch, completely missing the ball before almost turning it into his own net after he tried to clear the deflected effort away from goal.

Eventually the ball was cleared practically off the line by the defender and Man United would go on to win the game, but it didn’t leave fans with a particularly great impression of the shot-stopper in what was just his second game for the club.

This wasn’t the only howler from the former Toon number one on the night – Dubravka nearly misjudged a back-pass from one of his defenders and had to quickly run back to clear his lines.

See both incients below:

The Slovakian’s future on Tyneside is still undecided, with his loan spell set to come to an end in January.

Eddie Howe yet to confirm whether he will be part of his plans for the rest of the season, although it seems clear he won’t be earning a permanent move to Old Trafford based on his performance last night!
