NUFC duo receive Premier League interest and three others made available – The Telegraph

According to The Telegraph, Ryan Fraser and Jamaal Lascelles have both received interest from Premier League clubs, while Karl Darlow looks set to join Hull and Matt Ritchie and Jamal Lewis have both been made available.

Southampton, Bournemouth, Fulham and Everton are all tracking Fraser, with the Scottish winger left out of recent matchday squads after making it known he’d like to leave.

After signing Chris Wood on loan and failing with an enquiry over Allan Saint-Maximin, it’s thought Nottingham Forest are also on former player Lascelles – but he is expected to stay on until at least the summer with Eddie Howe keen on keeping him around the training ground.

Meanwhile, Darlow now looks set to join Hull City on loan in the Championship following the contract extension for backup keeper Loris Karius, while Lewis and Ritchie are also up for grabs – the former on a potential loan and the latter on a loan-to-buy basis.

With Tuesday’s 11pm deadline fast approaching, it seems like it could be a busy few days on Tyneside, with outgoings expected to follow Anthony Gordon’s imminent arrival.

  1. Letting Lascelles go at this moment in time would not be wise given fullback situation as Burn would need to go into the middle, unless we have a replacement lined up.

  2. I agree. As much as Lascelles has no future here (sad to say when only 2 years ago he was our best asset in defence) I think we do need his cover a little longer. Fraser is a character I’d never want to leave, but if now is the time there’s good money on the table for him, it makes sense. Same goes for Ritchie, good man good character but not our new level. Lewis should never have been signed.
