Almost two weeks after striking a deal with AC Milan, Sandro Tonali has finally been pictured wearing a Newcastle United shirt.
The Italian caught a flight from Linate airport just after lunch time and was filmed arriving at Newcastle airport around 4.30pm today.
Since then, he’s been to the club’s training ground and has now been photographed in our new shirt, with media duties expected to follow tomorrow.
See the first official photo of him in our new kit below, followed by a video of the 23-year-old leaving our Benton training base:
Speaking about his £55m move to Tyneside on Monday, Tonali said: “First of all, I want to thank Newcastle United because they are giving me a huge opportunity for my career.
“I want to repay the trust on the pitch, giving it my all, as I always have.
“I’m really excited about playing at St. James’ Park, I can’t wait to feel the warmth of the fans.”
Welcome to the Toon, Sandro!
Poor buggers got some serious work to do after the reports that he was in tears when he was told he was moving.
