Newcastle considering Man City talent as interest grows after England U21 glory – Report

As reported by 90min, Newcastle remain keen on Man City defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis and could make a late move following growing interest from a host of Premier League clubs.

The Magpies have ‘admired’ the centre-back for some time now along with a handful of other clubs, but we are yet to put in any kind of official bid.

Nottingham Forest and Fulham are said to be the frontrunners, but West Ham, Newcastle and Burnley are still in the race for the 21-year-old.

Harwood-Bellis would have at least one familiar face on Tyneside as he played alongside Anthony Gordon in England Under-21’s Euro victory and was named in the team of the tournament.

The young defender has just one year remaining on his deal at the Etihad and is yet to agree an extension so it remains to be seen if Newcastle will be tempted to make an offer in the next few weeks.

  1. Aye – can’t see any problem there at all.

I’m sure City will do whatever they can to help us become a better, bigger club.

What’s next? They loan De Bruyne to us? Maybe Haarland on a free transfer?
