PIF-owned Al-Nassr launch €43m bid in attempt to hijack Premier League move – Report

As reported by Ben Jacobs, PIF-owned Al Nassr have launched a €43m bid for Moussa Diaby in an attempt to beat Aston Villa to the former Newcastle target.

The Magpies had been interested in the Bayer Leverkusen star last summer and heavily linked ever since, but it’s thought we’re now pursuing a deal for Harvey Barnes instead.

Aston Villa looked to be leading the race for the winger and despite having their first bid rejected by the German club, it’s expected that they will return with another offer.

Al Nassr have now entered the conversation with a bid of €43m, but the Bundesliga side have made it known that they are hoping to receive a fee around the €55m mark.

The Saudi Pro League side, who share ownership with Newcastle, could be doing us a huge favour by persuading a star player away from a direct Premier League rival.
