Newcastle have released our team news for our first Summer Series fixture against Aston Villa.
Here’s the side that will face Villa for tonight’s midnight kick-off:
STARTING XI: (4-3-3): Dubravka – Trippier, Schar, Targett, Dummett – Guimaraes, Tonali, Anderson – Almiron, Isak, Murphy.
SUBS: Karius, Darlow, Botman, Lascelles, Joelinton, Wilson, Gordon, Ritchie, Barnes, Manquillo, Ashby, Burn, Turner-Cooke, Parkinson, Miley.
Harvey Barnes is named on the bench and could make his debut for the club just hours after his transfer was confirmed while Martin Dubravka replaces Karius for his first pre-season appearance.
Dummett, Bruno, Isak and Murphy all come in to the side after only featuring on the bench against Rangers last Tuesday with Botman and Wilson dropping out of the starting XI.
Both Sean Longstaff and Jamal Lewis do not feature in the squad whatsoever, but Joelinton makes his return after joining up with the team late due to a visa issue.
Trippier, Schar, Targett, Tonali, Anderson and Almiron all retain their places from the 2-1 victory in Glasgow.
