Leeds now set to complete deal for Newcastle man – Fabrizio Romano

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Karl Darlow is now ‘expected’ to join Leeds United as Bournemouth ‘complete agreement’ to sign Romanian goalkeeper.

The Cherries had been in talks with the former Nottingham Forest shot-stopper, but, as we reported last week, Leeds were trying to hijack the deal and look to be on the verge of finding a new number one.

With Bournemouth now close to confirming the signing of Andrei Radu on loan, the Whites are fully expected to finalise a deal for the 32-year-old very soon.

Leeds keeper Islan Meslier is expected to leave Elland Road which has prompted the recently relegated club in to searching for a reliable and experienced pair of hands.

The move would also be ideal for Darlow as he can stay close to the North East, his home for the last nine years and where his young family is still located.

As for Newcastle, it brings in a small fee to add to the transfer budget and frees up some wages which could be crucial to bringing in another player.
