Saint-Maximin responds to Eddie Howe interview with brilliant message

Allan Saint-Maximin has sent a message of thanks to Eddie Howe, describing the Newcastle United boss as the “best manager ever.”

In response to an Eddie Howe interview with Sky Sports – which saw the 45-year-old hail the “incredible” Frenchman following his move to Al-Ahli – Saint-Maximin commented with a tribute of his own to his former boss, saying he’d “never forget” him.

ASM wished Howe all the best and thanked him for “all the things you have done for me”, ending his Twitter post with ‘NUFC forever.’

Here’s what the winger had to say, followed by a snippet from Howe’s Sky interview and Saint-Maximin’s tweet itself:

“Best manager ever. I will never forget you. I wish you all the best and thanks again for all the things you have done for me. NUFC forever.”

Saint-Maximin score on his first appearance for Al-Ahli on Tuesday and will be a big miss, as Howe says himself in the interview above.

A unique talent, a joy to watch at his brilliant best and a great guy who Eddie Howe clearly enjoyed a great relationship with. It’s just a real shame he had to be sold to make room for signings from an FFP perspective.

  1. Thing is Olly we never seen nowhere enough of his brilliant best there’s a reason the top clubs home and abroad never signed him harsh reality is nowhere near enough end product he was no Chris Waddle or a Ginola a Laurent Robert and when it comes to end product would even put Scott Sellars ahead of him shown my age with couple players I mentioned there
