Supercomputer predicts Premier League table ahead of 2023/24 season – Interesting results

With the new season set to kick off a week tomorrow, the statisticians have already begun predicting how the 2023/24 Premier League will pan out.

Betting tips website Bettingexpert have predicted the full Premier League standings – a tough task before a ball has been kicked but interesting to assess nonetheless.

They believe Newcastle will finish in 5th, seeing Liverpool regain their place in the top four, Man City end the season as champions, Chelsea return to the top six and Brighton, Aston Villa and West Ham all secure top 10 finishes.

At the other end of the table, they’re backing Luton, Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest to go down, with Bournemouth, Wolves, Everton and newly promoted Burnley to narrowly avoiding the drop.

See their predicted table in full below:

  • 1. Manchester City (86.6 points)
  • 2. Arsenal (77.5 points)
  • 3. Liverpool (76.1 points)
  • 4. Manchester United (73.3 points)
  • 5. Newcastle (68.3 points)
  • 6. Chelsea (67.8 points)
  • 7. Tottenham (62.2 points)
  • 8. Brighton (58.1 points)
  • 9. Aston Villa (56.5 points)
  • 10. West Ham (47.3 points)
  • 11. Brentford (46.0 points)
  • 12. Crystal Palace (43.0 points)
  • 13. Fulham (40.3 points)
  • 14. Burnley (39.3 points)
  • 15. Everton (38.7 points)
  • 16. Wolves (38.5 points)
  • 17. Bournemouth (37.2 points)
  • 18. Nottingham Forest (36.2 points)
  • 19. Sheffield United (31.7 points)
  • 20. Luton (30.5 points)

It’s a near impossible task before we see early-season form and signings to come over the final month of the window, but where do you see Newcastle finishing?

  1. City have strengthened but Arsenal have strengthened more so I expect the title race to be closer.
Utd still need a striker and Liverpool are still unbalanced. So I see us being in a battle with them for 3rd to 5th
Spurs are still a mess and without Kane struggling to get into the top ten. Chelsea have spent a lot but Poch is not as good as he is made out to be. Villa on the other hand have a great manager and have strengthened well. Villa and Chelsea chasing Europa League 6th and 7th .

  2. Liverpool fan in peace. Arsenal and City will be top 2, you have to go with City but Arsenal will go close and could win it if City aren’t at it after winning the treble. I think its then United, Newcastle, Liverpool in any order. Your strong season wasn’t a one-off, the performances were strong through the season and I think you will secure top 4 again after strengthening. The final place is between us and United and currently its not possible to predict, it depends on the business each club does prior to the end of the window. We were awful last season with a midfield that had completely run out of steam so with a new midfield I think we improve significantly although that is countered by the time it will take to bed the new midfield in. Chelsea and Villa will complete the top 7, in any order.

  3. If Liverpool sign 3 more players (2 mid 1 def) then they will challenge city and a stronger arsenal than last season for the title, Chelsea take 4th then spurs and Newcastle to complete top 6 Utd will miss out just

  4. I have us down for 5th as well.
But I’m not bold enough to suggest we will end up with .3 of a point.
