Amanda Staveley speaks to Sky Sports from Amazon premiere – Watch here

Last night saw Newcastle players, staff and co-owners attend the premiere of Amazon’s “We are Newcastle United” series at the Tyneside cinema.

Amanda Staveley was there alongside Eddie Howe and spoke to Sky Sports, discussing the four-part series and the highs and lows experienced during filming.

She believes the documentary captures how “tough” it is to run a football club, but insists it’s “the most privileged job in the world” and the “greatest club in the world.”

Staveley admits the season was tiring but so fulfilling, with the series set to capture the inner workings behind the scenes, as well as our incredible rise under Eddie Howe, Carabao Cup heartache and push towards a top-four finish. Watch what Staveley had to say below:

“I think it’s really important people get to see the work that we do.”

“Fans get to see how tough actually running a football club is – but it’s the most enjoyable job in the world and the privileged job in the world!

“We have the greatest club in the world, so the passion that we have is really felt. It was an incredible season. Some of it was tough – it was really tiring – but really fulfilling.
