Harrison Ashby has completed a move to Swansea City, with the Championship side confirming he’s signed on a season long loan from Newcastle.
This is expected to kick-start a domino effect at right-back, with Ashby’s departure allowing us to push through Tino Livramento’s move from Southampton.
Newcastle agreed a fee for the 20-year-old yesterday afternoon and a medical has been booked in, giving the England U21 star an outside chance of featuring in this weekend’s Sela Cup should he sign in time.
As for the second loan exit, Eddie Howe has confirmed that Garang Kuol should seal a temporary move away from Newcastle after talks with the Australian on Thursday. Howe didn’t name names, but the 18-year-old forward is expected to join Eredivisie side FC Volendam.
Speaking about Kuol at today’s press conference, he said: “I met with him (Kuol) yesterday and had a really good chat. I believe he’ll be going out on loan on Friday.”
