Amanda Staveley & Mehrdad Ghodoussi post contrasting messages on SJP atmosphere

Newcastle’s owners posted conflicting messages on social media about the atmosphere against Chelsea, sparking a lot of debate amongst the fanbase this weekend.

Mehrdad Ghodoussi and Jamie Reuben were both impressed with the performance on the pitch, but demanded that fans need to show ‘more support in the stadium’ and ‘match the intensity of the players.’

However, Amanda Staveley was very impressed with the ‘amazing’ atmosphere on Saturday, claiming that fans are always the ’12th man’.

Here’s what both had to say after the game, with Ghodoussi posting on Twitter and Staveley on Instagram:

This has sparked so many conversations about why the atmosphere maybe isn’t as good as it could be – although there have been far worse atmosphere’s this season alone, so it seems a strange game to pick faults on, especially when it was the owners who changed the ticketing system.

Of course it can always be better, but realistically no fanbase in the country sings for 90 minutes straight and it would be foolish to think Newcastle fans suddenly will.

  2. I’ll just add that the way this and other so called Geordie press/sites go on clamouring for page hits and likes is using clickbait is exactly like that idiot who had a go at Tripps and the players at Bournemouth
Some of the replies on twitter are embarrassing, how easy it is to forget
