Bruno Guimaraes gave Lewis Miley huge praise in a brilliant interview after the 17-year-old became the youngest Newcastle player to provide a Premier League assist.
Speaking to The Chronicle, Bruno said: “Lewis is a star. He is massive. When I was 17, and sorry to use the word, but I was s***! Lewis is really great and a fantastic talent.”
Miley looked like he had been playing at the heart of Newcastle’s midfield for years against Chelsea and topped off a great performance with a brilliant assist, sliding an intricate pass into Alexander Isak.
After the game, Bruno couldn’t praise him enough, suggesting the Toon teenager is far better than he was at that age and a ‘fantastic talent’.
With Joe Willock now picking up another injury and Sean Longstaff a doubt for Tuesday’s game at PSG, it looks like Miley will play a big part in our upcoming fixtures as we head into the busiest period of the season.
Hopefully this is only the beginning of a brilliant career at St James’ Park for the young man and we see more performances in the next few weeks like the one he put in against Chelsea.
