As reported by The Sun’s Alan Nixon, Newcastle are showing interest in Derby County sensation Cruz Allen alongside Man Utd and Chelsea.
The 16-year-old has shone in Derby’s Under-18s and has been tipped to have a big future in the game, prompting interest from several Premier League clubs.
So far this season, the attacking midfielder has scored three goals and assisted a further three in just seven appearances in the Under-18 Premier League with Derby sitting in sixth position; two places behind Newcastle in fourth.
The Rams are expecting to receive a number of bids for Allen, who has also played five times for Wales’ Under-16 side and four times for their Under-17 side, scoring twice across four caps.
With a host of U21 and U18 talents signed over the summer, it’s clear Dan Ashworth has kickstarted our search for some of the best young talent across the UK, so it would be no surprise if we’ve got one eye on Allen.
