Sandro Tonali has been filmed arriving at Linate airport ahead of a flight to Tyneside on Wednesday afternoon.
With his official move to Newcastle United announced by the club on Monday, the 23-year-old has packed his bags and looks set to arrive in the North East in the next few hours.
The Italian signed an initial five-year deal at St James’ Park and signs for a fee in the region of £55m, leaving boyhood club AC Milan to join Eddie Howe’s Mags.
The video – captured by Antonio Vitiello – shows the midfielder entering the Milan airport and meeting an official who was spotted holding talks with Steve Nickson last month. Watch below:
The flight-trackers will be out in full force, with some already suggesting that he’s due to land at Newcastle airport around 4pm.
After that, we can expect to see pictures of him at St James’ Park and in a Newcastle United shirt in the next few days, with his first interview with NUFC TV also likely to follow.
